Wilma Gean (King) Pelliccio, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, peacefully passed away on December 7, 2024, at the age of 66. Born on September 7, 1958, in Sedalia, MO. she was born the third child to Leo D. King Sr. and Nettie Jean (Gray) King. Wilma touched many hearts with her kindness, compassion, and unwavering spirit. She was a strong and courageous woman. Always a beautiful smile and for sure the life of the party. She loved doing diamond art and watching the Kansas City Chiefs with her family. She graduated in 1976, from Central High School, and worked for SRC for 23 years.
Wilma was a previous member of the Leisurettes Ladies Club. She married Frank Paul Pelliccio on March 22, 1980 and to this union three children were born: Tiffany L. (Pelliccio) Clay, Derrell and Derrick. She also raised and became a mother to Derrick’s daughter, Tahleah.
Wilma was preceded in death by her maternal grand-parents; Lon and Ethel Gray, paternal grandparents: Marion and Henrietta King, her father, Rev. Leo D. King Sr. son, Derrick, son-in-law: Kel Clay, her brothers: Dennis Grubbs and Leo King Jr. along with aunts, uncles, her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Anthony James Pelliccio Sr. and Beatrice May Pelliccio and other family members.
Left to cherish her memory is husband Frank , daughters: Tiffany, Tahleah and step-daughter: Veronica, son Derrell, siblings: Garry (Sharon) King, Lonzetta (Mark) Graves, Connie Vollmar (Alan), Bonnie Young, Sherri (Ashely) Harper, grandchildren: Tanaeah, Madyson, Anthony, Rominn, Brytain, Mercedes, Killian, Creed and Jasmine. Brother and sister in-laws: Elaine, Mickey (J.D.), Carol, Tony (Lily), Ralph (Rhonda), Linda (Norman) and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Wilma has left us in the physical presence, but her smile and memories will forever be in our hearts.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m.Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from Noon to 1:00 p.m. before services.
As we come together to remember Wilma G. Pelliccio, let us celebrate her spirit and the love she shared. Her legacy will continue to inspire and nurture those she leaves behind, as she forever remains in our hearts.
