Passed away peacefully in her home in Pleasant Hope, MO, February 1, 2022
Age 92, June was born May 24, 1929 to John and Wilma (Overcash) Fisher in the rural Bolivar area.
Growing up discovering her love of cooking at the age of 9, riding horses to school and helping to take care of her younger siblings. She was saved at a young age and life long member of Sunset “Rural Hill” Baptist Church.
She was united in marriage, March 22, 1947 to John Lloyd Altic. They shared the joy of having 3 sons, Terry Gene, Lloyd Dean, Rocky Allen and a daughter Debra June.
Their home was filled with love, laughter, good food, family and friends. You never needed an invitation and knew your were always welcome. A place all felt as if they had come home again.
She was an avid cook and baker owning June’s Cafe in Pleasant Hope for 26 years where her homemade pies were loved by all. Her home was always a welcoming place to share a meal, pie and coffee or a good game of cards. She loved family gatherings, playing cards, music shows, country dance and the Jam where a group of friends gathered once a week to play, sing and eat. Her pie was always in demand everywhere she went and she spoiled everyone with their wonderful flavor.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 30 years, John Lloyd Altic, Parents John & Wilma (Overcash) Fisher, Son Rocky Allen Altic, Grandson Rowdy Allen Altic & Great Grandson Scotty Altic, brothers Gene Fisher, Keith Fisher, Kenneth Fisher, Benny Wayne Fisher and sisters Connie Arnold and Violet Fisher.
She will be dearly missed by son Terry Gene Altic & wife Janice, son Dean Altic & wife Pam, daughter Debra Denney & husband Charles. Daughter in law Terrie Lee Altic. Brother Carl Fisher. (11) Grandchildren, Tonna (Altic) Hood, James Altic, Shawn Altic, Scott Altic, Stephanie (Denney) Hillenburg, John Altic, Brad Altic, Jerrell Altic, Travis Altic, Alissa (Denney) Amalfi & Cari (Altic) Bishop. (29) Great Grandchildren, (8) Great Great Grandchildren. Close friends Dian Wiles & Lynn Gott. As well as as a host of dear friends, family and acquaintances.
Visitation is Monday, February 7th from 5:00-7:00 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Services will be Tuesday, February 8th at 10:00 in the main chapel. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Slagle Cemetery south of Bolivar after service.
The Lord granted her last wish to remain in her home until he called her to her heavenly home. He granted us the time to spend with her and let her know how much we loved her, allowing her to pass peacefully into the night. Our family sincerely wants to thank everyone for their prayers, visits and help with our mom in her last weeks with us. Thank you to Good Shepard Hospice for their care and compassion.
The family will be at June’s home in Pleasant Hope all afternoon Sunday, February 6th for anyone wanting stop by and visit with the family. We will also be there after burial Tuesday afternoon February 8th.

So many memories, so great to have known June. All the Fisher Family were favorites with the Steinshouer Family . Our Dad had the pleasure of working at the Grain Elevator and loading Johnny Altic’s truck every morning. June leave that Chocolate Pie recipe behind. You will be missed.
