Yvonne Burrell, a beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025, in Fair Play, Missouri, at the age of 71. Born on February 19, 1954, in Seneca Falls, New York, Yvonne was a bright light in the lives of those who knew her, celebrated for her kind heart and infectious spirit.

Yvonne’s unwavering love for her family shone through in all that she did. She tenderly cared for her devoted spouse, John Deckard. Together, they shared a profound bond, calling each other soul mates, and their love story was one of support, joy, and unwavering companionship. Known affectionately as “Vonnie,” she could light up a room and often brought laughter with her fun-loving nature and spirited charm, even if her language sometimes had a sailor’s flair.

Yvonne was not only a nurturer but also a source of inspiration for many. Her generosity and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on her community and loved ones. Vonnie also had a large heart for animals, especially her cats and dogs.

She is survived by her partner of 30 years John Deckard, son Jason, son Frankie, daughter Cassie; sister Claudia, brother Edgardo, and brother William, 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, other family members and friends

In celebration of her life and the beautiful memories created, a graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens on July 25, 2025, at 2:00 PM.

Yvonne will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to resonate in the hearts of her family and friends. May she rest in peace, embraced forever by the love she so generously shared.
