Kay Gerken left a message on April 5, 2020:
The Gerken family will remember Americanna as our wonderful neighbor at the lake for 22 years offering homemade bread and cinnamon rolls, serving the thankless job of treasurer for the dock association for countless years, but most of all for her generous spirit, her kindness to all, and an ever-present smile. Her encouragement to so many of us to become a volunteer in one of the organizations she loved leaves a legacy to carry on her spirit. Americanna truly lived her Christian faith and we know that God spoke to her "welcome home good and faithful servant."

Tom& Family, so sorry for your loss. Her smile always lit up a room. She was a jewel. I wii always remember the fun times we had in Wichita and the delicious meals she would cook. She was a wonderful hostess and we’ll miss her. May the Lord bless you in this time of grieving.
Sharon Schmeidler left a message on April 5, 2020:
I truly enjoyed knowing Americanna as our families lived just around the corner from she and her family in Wichita. My children went to Wichita South where she worked, and Americanna was always so kind hearted to all of them. RIP dear friend??
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I met Americanna through P.E.O., Chapter IB, and I think Americanna was already an Angel here on earth. She was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met and would do anything she could to help you. She had a magnificent voice and was a great cook! I will miss her smiling face and kind words and hugs! And I know she will be joining the Angel's Choir in Heaven!
Myrna Steele left a message on April 4, 2020:
I was privileged to have such a wonderful, loving friend. We shared many good times together—laughing most of the time—during her time at South High. My thoughts and prayers are for all her family. She will be missed by so many.
Tina Whitehead left a message on April 4, 2020:

Martha Lamkin left a message on April 4, 2020:
Dear Tom and family, I send heartfelt sympathies from the Lamkin and Dampf families. We all are shocked and so very sad to learn of Americanna's passing. What a gift she was to all who knew her! She was a real pillar of the Branson community and a great presence in the extended Magness family. Her beautiful voice ministered to many over the years, including at Grandmother Nora Magness's funeral service decades ago. Her leadership in the arts, in her congregation, and for the Taney Hills Library will live on in the many souls she nourished. Memories of Americanna's broad smile, her ready laugh, and her gracious hospitality will grace and bless our lives for years to come. Much love, Martha Lamkin
ADELE K GROOTE left a message on April 4, 2020:
Americanna's smile and enthusiasm will burn in my memory. What a wonderful loving spirit. She will be deeply missed in our choir, at the library, at the Chorale, and sitting in the theatre at BRAC. Peace be with you.

Our sympathies to the family. So many beautiful memories while together doing “library things”. Mark and I enjoyed going with Americanna to the new “Six “Spring show at Legends in March. Oh how I will miss her smile, her laughs, our talks, her love! I am sure she is in God’s choir in Heaven.
