Ada Marie Hvidston went to be with her Lord and Savior at the Glendale Garden Nursing Home on 07/03/2020. She was 100 years old.
Mrs. Hvidston was born on October 6, 1919 in Park Rapids, Minnesota to her parents Charles Lee and Grace Louise Condiff and was the third youngest of eighteen children. She married Bob Hvidston on January 16, 1940 in Park Rapids, Minnesota where Bob worked in the retail lumber business. Ada was a deeply religious person who devoted her entire life to service through church involvement, teaching children, and volunteer work. She was an avid letter writer and maintained contacts with family and friends for decades. Ada enjoyed reading, doing crosswords and playing the piano. She loved playing cards and challenging her grandchildren to beat her at rummy. Fishing was her passion. She never missed a chance to “throw her hook in the water”.
She is survived by her daughter Bobbe Jane (Dan) Ames of Springfield, Missouri, her son David Dean (Debbie) Hvidston of Bluffton, SC , seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, her son Charles Lee, grandson Gregory and her siblings.
Mrs. Hvidston will be buried on Friday, July 10, 2020.
