Albert Leon Kootz, age 72 of Pleasant Hope, MO, passed away April 1, 2013, with his wife and children by his side. He was born May 8, 1940 in Elkland, MO, the son of William and Eulah (Price) Kootz.
Albert Graduated from Marshfield High School in 1958. He served our country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired after 28 years of service as a Television Repairman at Zenith. Albert enjoyed hunting, fishing and cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Eulah Kootz. Albert is survived by his wife of 51 years Helen (Presley) Kootz, three children; Mike and Debbie Kootz of Pleasant Hope, MO; Mark Kootz of Springfield, MO, and Christina and Bryan Hansen of Castle Rock, CO. 7 grandchildren; Darla Allison, Missy Cansler, Matt Kootz, Kaitlyn Hansen, Tyler Hansen, Allison Hansen and Jacqueline Hansen, 6 great grandchildren; Keira, Emilie, Alyssa, Ryan, Kryder and Chance, 2 brothers; Leo and Pat Kootz and Kenneth and Paula Kootz, 4 sisters; Eulalah, Janet and Howard McDaniel, Sandy and Tom Jones and Roberta and Bill Smiley, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 4, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Funeral services will be Friday, April 5 at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Brighton Cemetery, Brighton, MO. Online condolences may be left at www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com.
