Alberta “Bert” Herbert Stepp, age 90, of Willard, Mo., passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2010, at the Willard Care Center, Willard, Mo. She was born February 3, 1920, in McKinley, Mo., to Alva Dallas and Ella Etta Anderson, and was a lifelong resident of the Willard area.
Bert was a member of the Willard United Methodist Church. Bert and Clarence Herbert were married in 1938 and shared 39 years of marriage. Bert and Doris Stepp were married in 1981 and shared 14 years of marriage.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; three brothers, Bill, Leonard “Andy”, and Clarence Anderson; and two sisters, Ida McMillan and Ethel Ellison.
Bert is survived by her sisters Pauline McMillian of Fair Grove, Mo., and Velma Norton of Pleasant Hope, Mo; two sisters-in-law, Norma Dean Anderson of Willard, Mo., and Grace Carmen (Leon) of Springfield, Mo.; a brother-in-law, Al Herbert (Linda) of Willard, Mo.; many nieces and nephews that lovingly remember her as “Aunt Bert”; and a host of other family members and friends. She also leaves behind her beloved cat “Callie” and dog “Lady”.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 27th at 2 p.m. at the Willard United Methodist Church under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the service begins. Burial will immediately follow at Clear Creek Cemetery.
