Alice was born July 3, 1930 in Wichita, Kansas, but raised in Springfield. She graduated from Central High School in 1948 and later married Max Neill. While married, she lived in various states, but moved back to Springfield in 1974 to be closer to her father and family and spent the remainder of her years there. Alice was living in Crane in the Ozark Mountain Regional Healthcare until her death.
She was a wonderful piano and organ player. In addition to using these talents in church for many years, she played with Don Ho at his club in Hawaii.
She is preceded in death by her parents, T.D. and Bernice Alice Lewis of Springfield.
She is survived by sons: Kenneth Neill and wife Donna of Atlanta, GA, Don Neill and wife Cissy of Dallas, Texas. She is also survived by her brother, Paul Lewis and wife Nina of Fremont Hills. She leaves behind seven fabulous grandchildren and spouses from Indiana, Georgia and Texas and finally eight great-grandchildren. Additionally she leaves behind a nephew and niece in Kansas City and many cousins throughout the country.
She will be buried in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens along her father and mother. The family will have a private ceremony with the date not yet determined.
