Alice M. Parrish, age 87, of Springfield, Missouri, formerly of Bolivar, Mo. passed away Feb. 11, 2011 in Springfield, Mo. She was born August 15, 1923 Albia, Iowa to the late Cecil R. Hopkins and Cora B. Lindsey Hopkins. On Nov. 2, 1946 she married Joe M. Parrish and to this union one daughter was born.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Joe M. Parrish
She is survived by a daughter and her husband Linda and Jack Broshears, of Springfield; two grandchildren, Christopher Broshears and his wife Lindsay, of Arkansas; and Andrea Broshears, of Arkansas, and three great-grand children, Charlotte, Joe and Ella Broshears.
She was a member of the Bolivar United Methodist Church, and was a 1942 graduate of Bolivar High School.
Grave side services for Alice M. Parrish are at 2:30 pm Monday Feb. 14, 2011 in the Eastlawn Cemetery, in Springfield, Mo. with Reverend Dan Adkison officiating. Visitation will be Monday morning from 10 am to 12 am at Pitts Chapel in Bolivar, Mo. Friends and family can sign a guest book at the visitation. Arrangments have been entrusted to Pitts Chapel, Bolivar, Mo.
