Allen Wayne Rogers, age 78, of Aldrich, Missouri, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026, just a week after the loss of his beloved wife. He was born on June 10, 1948, in Springfield, Missouri, to a family that cherished and nurtured him as he grew into the kind-hearted man we remember today.
At age 18 Allen proudly enlisted in the Marine Corps where he bravely fought in the Vietnam War. His bravery in combat earned him a Purple Heart Medal, National Defense Service Medal, RVN Campaign Medal & the Vietnamese Service Medal. Allen was a Proud Marine till he left this world.
Allen dedicated his career to maintaining the facilities at Springfield Public Schools, where his steadfast work ethic and warm demeanor touched the lives of students and staff alike. He took great pride in his work and fostered strong relationships within his community.
Allen is survived by his cherished children Steven Simpson, Carla Trowbridge and husband Tony, James Payne and wife Nora, Tammy Hubbard and husband Tim. He is also survived by his cherished Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great Great Grandchildren, his sister Lea Baxter and husband Mike, as well as several Nieces, Nephews and cousins.
Allen had a deep passion for the outdoors, particularly for days spent at the lake enjoying life on his ski boat. He embraced every moment spent on the water, and it was there that many cherished memories were formed with family and friends.
A graveside service will take place at Robberson Prairie Cemetery in Willard, Missouri, on June 19, 2026, at 12:00 PM, where we will gather to remember and celebrate Allen’s life and the joy he brought to those around him.
Allen Wayne Rogers will be laid to rest in Willard, Missouri, where his spirit will forever join the surrounding beauty he so loved. He will be dearly missed, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Dee Rogers, his cherished mother Beatrice Colley, his loving daughter Kim Payne, his sister Debbie and his brother Mike.
