Alma Ruth Cargill, age 91, of Springfield, was born December 13, 1919 and passed away Saturday, January 29, 2011.
She graduated from Lamar High School in 1937 and was also a graduate of Draughn’s Business College. She was united in marriage to Joseph Andrew Cargill on February 15, 1942 in Thayer, Mo. She was a member of Brookline Baptist Church. Alma was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and cooking.
She was preceded in death by husband, Joseph Andrew Cargill; her parents; and seven brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, Jane Cargill, Karen Frame and husband Dr. Don Frame, and Joe Cargill and wife Vickie; five grandchildren, Jessica Bertholdi, Sally Frame, John Frame, Jamie Cargill, and Drew Cargill; great-grandchildren, Finnley Bertholdi, Jack Frame, Kate Frame, and Greyson Bertholdi; and sister, Lucille Royston.
Funeral services will be in the First Baptist Church of Brookline on Monday, January 31, 2011 at 2 p.m., under the care of Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Burial to follow in John’s Chapel Cemetery, Ash Grove, Mo.
