Alvin Ray Forrest, age 55, of Aldrich, MO passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Eudora, MO. He was born November 2, 1955 in Springfield, Missouri to Willard G. and Goldie L. (Hicks) Forrest.
Alvin was employed as a feed truck driver for Farmers Market and a tree trimmer with Shade Tree Service, Fenton, MO for 21 years.
Alvin married Barbara Dryer at Dunnegan Memorial Park on June 24, 1977. He loved his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren, hunting and fishing.
Alvin was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara of the home, son Travis and fiance’ Mallory of Humansville, and daughter Sammy Jo of Bolivar. He is also survived by three brothers, Gordon Forrest and wife Helen of Halfway, Bob Forrest and wife Terri of Ozark, Mearl Forrest of Bolivar, one sister, Reba Greer and husband Mike of Goodson, three grandchildren, Jay, Gavin and Meredith, Uncles Leon Forrest of Arkansas, Doyne Hicks of Mt. Grove, Aunt Vivian Hicks of Alabama, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Alvin Ray Forrest will be Sunday, October 16, 2011 at 2:00 PM in Pitts Chapel, Bolivar, MO with Rev. Ernie Presley officiating. Burial will follow in the Barren Creek Cemetery, Fair Play, MO. Visitation will be Saturday, October 15, 6:00-8:00 PM in the chapel.
