Amanda Darlene Eagan
was born January 15, 1973, at St. Joseph Hospital in Kansas City, MO, the
youngest child to John and Verna Eagan.
She was a joy and delight to her parents for forty years. A special sister to Amber and brother John,
loving Aunt to Ashley, Annette, Autumn, and Sarah. She was faithful to all her friends and
enjoyed life in everything she did. She graduated
from Humansville High School in 1991.
She attended Drury College to study Law Enforcement and served
faithfully in that capacity for thirteen years.
She loved horses, riding motorcycles, fishing, and spending time at the
lake. She loved her two dogs Minnie and
Harley. She also loved a good joke and
to tell jokes too. She came to know the
Lord in 1982, at Berean Baptist Church under the preaching of Grant
Stokes. She went home to be with the
Lord June 7, 2013, at 11:50 pm.
She is preceded in death by maternal
grandparents Bill and Norma Sharp; paternal grandfather Elbert Eagan; and
paternal aunt Diana Eagan.
Amanda leaves behind her father John
Eagan and mother Verna (Sharp) Eagan of Bolivar, MO; sister Amber Van Norman,
and husband Steve of St. James, MO; brother John Eagan and wife Dana of Bolivar,
MO; grandmother Loretta Eagan of Greenfield, MO; nieces Ashley and Autumn
Eagan, and Annette and Sarah Van Norman; many uncles, aunts, cousins, and
friends; also her beloved friends and cohorts in mischief Christine Carter and
John Locke.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00
pm Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at the Berean Baptist Church with Dr. Greg
Christopher officiating. Visitation will
be held from 11:00 to 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the church prior to
the service. Pallbearers will be Frank Schreiber,
Michael Guhse, Kodi Poindexter, Bobby McAntire, Matt Gilmore, and Mike Young.
