Anna Mae (Curbow) Cornelison born January 11, 1941 at Ridgedale, Missouri. Died March 2, 2021 at her home in Highlandville, Mo at the age of 80 years.
The third of four children born to Charlie and Ethel Curbow. Anna attended Hollister School, then Southwest Missouri State College.
Anna was working at the Assemblies of God Headquarters in Springfield when she married James R. Cornelison on November 19, 1966. She joined James at the Navy base in Okinawa, Japan, then Boston, Mass and Leavenworth, Kansas in the 14 years of Naval service, before returning to the Ozarks and establishing their Highlandville farm.
All Anna’s life she attended church and strived to do the Lord’s work.
Anna and James had no children, but they loved and cared for a host of nieces and nephews. They were married 54 years.
Anna is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Ethel Curbow; her brother Elmer Curbow of Springfield and her sister Darline Coxsey of Alpena, Ar.
Anna is survived by her husband, James, and her sister, Doris Wood, of Galena, Mo.
Anna suffered from Alzheimer’s for several years. We rejoice that she is now enjoying everlasting life with the Lord.
Visitation will be 11 to 12 a.m. Monday, March 8, 2021, in Ozark Full Gospel Church in Ozark. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood Road, Springfield, Missouri
