A life like Annalee Pratt’s is not measured in years, but in the love she gave, the traditions she created, and the countless lives she touched along the way. Her presence was steady, her love unwavering, and her legacy one that will continue to live on in every heart she shaped.

On Thursday, July 16, 2026, Annalee, 88, of Springfield, Missouri, peacefully entered her eternal home while surrounded by the compassionate care of Maranatha Village.

Born on November 23, 1937, in Ava, Missouri, to Dan and Inez Dobbins, Annalee lived a life marked by resilience, loyalty, and quiet strength. She believed character was revealed in the little things: a handwritten note, a kind word, a neatly set table, a promise kept. She carried herself with elegance, always prim and proper, and treated others with dignity and respect.

She married George Pratt, the love of her life, and together they built a life founded on faith, devotion, and hard work. They were blessed with one son, Jimmy Lloyd Pratt, whose passing in 1992 became one of the deepest sorrows she would ever carry. George preceded her in death in 2016, but Annalee’s love for both of them never wavered.

Annalee devoted many years to American National Insurance Company, where clients knew her as someone they could trust completely. She believed serving people was just as important as serving policies, and she built lasting relationships through honesty and integrity.

While she loved painting beautiful canvases and escaping into the pages of a good novel, nothing compared to the pride and joy she found in her family. She especially loved showing off her grandchild and great-grandchildren. They were her greatest pride, and she made sure everyone knew just how much they meant to her.

In her later years at Maranatha Village, Annalee often spoke with gratitude about the people who brightened her days. She loved telling stories about Nokie, who faithfully visited with the most delicious treats and always made sure she had something special to enjoy. She treasured hearing from Ronn Tagge, whose conversations never failed to lift her spirits. Above all, she counted down the days until the weekly visits from her grandchild and great-grandchildren. Those visits filled her room with laughter and reminded her how deeply she was loved.

If you asked those who knew Annalee what they would remember most, they would remember how proud she was of her family and how she showed up for them. They would remember birthday parties at Sam and Pat Pratt’s house or at George and Annalee’s “Party House,” where Annalee’s mother, Inez Dobbins, lived. As a child, those weekends were constant, filled with laughter, family, and memories that would last a lifetime. They would remember how she and Grandpa never missed a school play or function, always showing up with pride and making sure their family knew they were supported in every moment that mattered.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Pratt; her cherished son, Jimmy Lloyd Pratt; her father, Dan Dobbins; and her mother, Inez Dobbins.

She leaves behind her grandchild and great-grandchildren, along with extended family and dear friends whose lives were forever enriched by her presence.

Though our hearts ache in her absence, we take comfort in knowing that a life built on love never truly ends. It continues in every lesson she taught, every tradition she began, and every generation that will know her through the stories we tell.

The world is a gentler place because Annalee Pratt lived in it, and Heaven is brighter because she is finally home.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 27, 2026, at Greenlawn Funeral Home South in Springfield, Missouri.

Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 South Southwood Road, Springfield, Missouri.

“To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.” Annalee’s memory will continue to live in the hearts of her family for generations to come.
