Annilee (Shade) Spellman went to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 29, 2025.
Annilee (Ann) was born on September 18, 1930 to Jackson and Conia (Yandell) Shade in Fair Grove Missouri. She graduated from Fair Grove High School and then attended Draughon’s Business School in Springfield. She met and married her husband, Jim Spellman, in 1950 and they were married for 72 years.
Ann was a faithful member of Hamlin Baptist Church, Springfield, MO for over 50 years. She taught the 4 year old Sunday School class, as well as directed and played piano for the children’s choir for many years.
She loved music and was an excellent pianist, continuing to play regularly in the dining room at The Manor at Elfindale where she resided the past two years.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her dear husband Jim, her sister Laura Glynn, her brothers James Shade and John Lewis Shade. She is survived by her children: Judi (Terry) Frost, Rusty (Cyle) Spellman and Kathy (Kevin) Putman; her grandchildren Chuck (Christa) Davis, Jamie (Debbie) Davis, Leslie Davis, Lindsey Wilkinson, Becca (Pat) Findley, Ben (Taylor) Spellman, Melissa (Sam) Lambeth and Jeffrey (Stefanie) Putman, along with 18 great-grandchildren.
A special thank you to the staff at The Manor at Elfindale for their kind and compassionate care. Also, thank you to Infinity Hospice for their care these past few weeks.
Visitation for Ann will be Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn East. Burial will be at White Chapel Cemetery.
