Anthony Kirk McCharen, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away on August 23, 2026, at the age of 62. Born on July 6, 1964, in Calhoun City, Mississippi, to Thomas Harold and Garna Mae (Jones) McCharen. Kirk will be remembered for his unwavering spirit and dedication to his craft as a journeyman plumber in the construction industry.

Though Kirk’s formal education concluded in high school, his curiosity and passion for learning never waned. He poured his heart into his work and was admired by colleagues and friends alike for his skill and dedication to his craft.

Kirk had a passion for bass fishing wherever he could get to cast a line in the water, he enjoyed playing pool as well.  His greatest love was his family and grandchildren.

Kirk was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson Maverick.

Kirk spent his life embracing the values of hard work and family, leaving a lasting impact on those around him. He is survived by his cherished children, son Zach McCharen (Katy) and daughter Samantha McCharen (Charlie), who carry forward his legacy of kindness and determination. Anthony also leaves behind four grandchildren: Cylus, Lilith, Jameson, and Leia; his brothers: Jeffrey and Jason McCharen; a sister Stacy Martin (Calvin); as well as many other relatives and friends, who will forever hold close memories of laughter and love shared with him.

As we gather to remember Anthony Kirk McCharen, we take comfort in knowing that though his physical presence is no longer with us, his spirit will forever resonate in our hearts. He will be missed deeply, and his legacy of love will endure through the generations.
