On January 26, 2014, Arlis Floyd Graves passed away. He was born February 19, 1925, and lived 88 years, 11 months and 7 days. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty and daughters: Cheri and Pam. There were so many who called him dad or Papa, it would be difficult to list survivors. To Arlis, if you were a friend, you were family and he touched many lives. Whether it was running around the countryside with Russell, collecting toys for the Rainbow Network, or helping a stranded motorist, Arlis was always doing something for others. The last few years were difficult for him because he wasn’t able to get out and do for others. He would not want a lot of fuss now so in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rainbow Network or Robberson Prairie Baptist Church Youth Ministry. Arlis lived to help others so his daughter, Karen, requests that instead of condolences, leave a personal memory of how Arlis touched your life. Out of respect for his wishes, there will be no graveside service. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
