Arthur “Clyde” Foreman, 97 years old, was born on June 16, 1929 and passed away peacefully on August 18th, 2026, at 8:15 pm at Heritage Wellness and Rehabilitation Services in Independence, Missouri. Clyde was loved by everyone who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Foreman, his daughter Arlene Mynatt and his grandson Eric Mynatt.

He is survived by his daughter, Twylla Johnson (husband Mark), his son, Gregory Foreman (wife Melodie), one grandson, Matthew Mynatt (wife Brittany), one great-grandchild, Matthew Mynatt, Jr, one sister Gee Williams, and one grand-cat, Beatrice Johnson.

Clyde graduated from Springfield High School in 1947. In 1994 Clyde retired from Consumers Markets in Springfield, Missouri, after 41 ½ years of service. He enjoyed a long retirement of 32 years. During his retirement he won many accolades for his oil paintings and immortalized the family’s pets in beautiful paintings his children proudly display in their homes. He sang in the Heart of America Barbershop Chorus, and he wrote three books. Clyde and Betty were both longtime members of the Springfield Elks Lodge, 409.

Clyde was the pianist/organist for the Gospel Tabernacle church, where he met the love of his life, Betty McManis. They were married on May 7th, 1950. They were both members of the Assemblies of God church for more than 70 years. Clyde and Betty raised three children in a Christ-centered home and encouraged all of them to pursue artistic expression. Their home was always filled with music.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday August 26th, followed by an 11:00 am service at Greenlawn North Funeral Home, with burial immediately following at the Greenlawn North Cemetery.
