Arthur L. Bellew, 77 of Springfield, passed away on November 10, 2009 in his home. He was born on August 29, 1932 in Saco, Mo. Arthur was a CWO II and served in the US Army for 20 years and two tours in Vietnam. He was a retired Army Officer at the time of his passing. Arthur married Jean in England. He was a member of the Elks 409 and MOAA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and his family. Arthur is survived by his children, Arthur L. Bellew III, and Rebecca J. Stinnett; grandchildren, Brian Wayne Stinnett and Jessica Marie Bellew; great-grandchildren, Abel Joseph Stinnett and Carson Otis Stinnett. Visitation will be held on November 13, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Burial will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery on November 16, 2009 at 1 p.m. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Missouri Veterans Home in Mt. Vernon, Mo.
