Artie E. Paterson, age 83, passed away February 24, 2011. She was born June 10, 1927 to Victor and Gladys Brown in Galena, KS.
Artie was an avid bowler at Sunshine Lanes and gained many friends from her bowling days until her knees got bad and she had to quit. A special thanks to all her friends and Hospice Compassus and the good folks at Christian Health Care West.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, two sons Charles Withers and Jerry Lee Withers and a sister Betty Flanigan.
She is survived by two daughters Freddie Crouch of Springfield and Jan Smith of Highlandville; stepdaughter Sue Toll of Wyoming; two grandsons Shane and Ryan Bonzer; four great grandchildren Hudson and London Bonzer and Peyton and Madison Bonzer, one step grandson Collin Ault and three step grandchildren in Wyoming.
Graveside services, under the direction of Greenlawn South Funeral Home, will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, March 1, 2011 in Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, February 28, 2011 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Greenlawn South Funeral Home.
