Christine Fisher-Thiessen left a message on March 18, 2024:
I can hardly remember not knowing Atha. My parents loved Atha and Jackie as if they were their own children. Atha was like a sister and we had so much fun over the years. She was close by when my first child was born; she was there at my husband's retirement ceremony at Ft. Leonard Wood, she flew with us to North Carolina when our brother was dying and so many other memorable times in my life. I will never see an Iris or Hosta and not think of my dear friend, Atha Slagle. "May the moon light your path and the stars welcome you home."
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

So sorry to hear of Atha's passing. I always enjoyed talking to Atha about flowers. She was so knowledgeable and loved to share her many things she had learned. Atha was definitely a cheerful person and hard worker. I am missing many of my friends from banking years. Heartfelt sympathy to the family. Karen Tucker
