Audrey “Verleen” Richardson, age 96, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2011 in her home. She was born February 19, 1914, in Ravenwood, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Harold Richardson, a baby brother; a sister; and a nephew.
She is survived by her three children; Judi Hohne and husband Jack of Oklahoma City, Jerry and wife Janie of Springfield, and Janet Lee of Springfield; three grandchildren; Jeff Hohne and his wife Shavonne, Chris Hohne and wife Karen, Kim Deffenbaugh and her husband David; and one step-grandson, Kirk Vance and his wife Kim; three great grandchildren, Rachel Hohne, Matthew Hohne, and Marissa Deffenbaugh; one sister, several nieces and nephews.
Verleen as she was known to all, was a devoted mother who cherished her family. Her home was always open to family, friends and neighbors, and the “candy bowl” was always full. She was much loved and will be greatly missed.
Graveside services will be Monday February 14, 2011 at 10am in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 2-4pm, Sunday February 13th in Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
