Barbara A. Southard, age 89, of Springfield, MO., died at 12:20 a.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2020 in The Manor.
The daughter of Edward Miller and Kathleen Davis, she was born on December 23, 1930, in Springfield, MO. She was a banker who helped usher in the age of computerized banking before she retired.
She was a member of Seminole Baptist Church.
She is survived by her two sons, Gale Southard Jr. and his wife, Eileen, and David Southard and his wife, Betty, both of Springfield, and her daughter Debra Williams and her husband Van, of Flower Mound, Texas; a sister Mary Fenley and her husband Hugh of Springfield; nine grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.
There will be a memorial visitation on Monday, December 7, 2020 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Service will follow at 11:00 am with Rev. Van Williams. Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery.
Barbara was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends playing games, laughing and will be deeply missed.
