Barbara Ann (Bray) Allen, 79, of Bois D’Arc, Missouri formerly of Springfield, Missouri passed away in her home on Monday, August 30, 2021.

She was born to Pearl and Hazel (Hayes) Bray on March 2, 1942 in Walnut Grove, Missouri. She graduated from Walnut Grove High School in 1959.

Barbara married Claude (Bill) Allen on December 28, 1962 in Texas.  She was a homemaker and was affiliated with the Lynn Street Baptist Church in Springfield. Barbara enjoyed bowling, sewing, and playing the piano and the organ.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents: Pearl and Hazel (Hayes) Bray; husband: Claude (Bill) Allen; son: Kevin Allen; sister: Reta Harper and several aunts and uncles.

She is survived by her daughter: Robin S. Brown (Jim) of Springfield, Missouri; brother: Tom Bray of Strafford, Missouri; step-son Jim Allen of Austin, Texas; very, very special friend and companion Brad Poland; grandchildren: Sheila Allen of LaFollette, Tennessee, Christian Burris (Corbin) of Springfield, Missouri and Sara Allen of St. Louis, Missouri; step-grandchildren Teri McConnell (John) of Santa Nella, California, James Allen of Sacramento, California, Susan Shultz (Paul) of Austin, Texas, Scott Allen of Hot Springs, Arkansas; two nieces and one nephew; and numerous cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, Missouri. Funeral Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. following the visitation; burial will be in John’s Chapel Cemetery in Ash Grove, Missouri.
