Barbara Ann Overshiner, age 82 of Kearney, MO, formerly of Humansville, MO, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024, at the Liberty Hospital Liberty, MO.  She was born September 9, 1941, in Brighton, MO, to Horace Dayton, Jr. and Geneiveve Merle (Wallace) Cribbs. She graduated from Pleasant Hope High School.  Barbara was united in marriage to Gerald Dee Overshiner on May 28, 1961, and to this union three children were born.  She was a member of the Humansville First Baptist Church.

          Barbara was a loving mother and homemaker, who always took care of providing homemade biscuits, cinnamon rolls, cakes, and pies.  She loved to cook, garden, and love on her family, she was the “light and sunshine” of the family.  She often was found dancing in the living room with Gerald to country music.

          Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 56 years Gerald Dee Overshiner; her son Shawn Overshiner; a sister Sondra May; and a son in-law Bradley Carr.

          Barbara is survived by her two daughters: Kimberly Harnish and husband Steve of Liberty, MO, and Shandalyn Carr of Excelsior Springs, MO; seven grandchildren: Steven, Joshua, David, Jill, Matthew, Mahaley, and Sarah; 18 great grandchildren; one sister Janette Anthony of Springfield, MO; three brothers: H.D. Cribbs and wife Sally of Walnut Grove, MO, Gary Cribbs, and Steve Cribbs and wife Debbie all of Brighton, MO; as well as many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

          Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at the Humansville Cemetery with Pastor Sean Taylor officiating.  Online condolences may be made at: www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Pitts Chapel Bolivar, MO.
