Barbara Ann Flood, 69, Willard, passed away on April 11, 2013. Barbara was born on September 5, 1943 to Edward and Lillian Marema. She married Lester Francis Flood on October 13, 1962.
Barbara was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church, the past twenty-six years at St. Joseph’s in Springfield. She was a member of the prayer hotline and the Willard Senior Center. She enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, reading, and playing board and card games with her grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Lester, of Willard; her son Kevin (Donna) Flood of Canton, Missouri; son Darin Flood of Blue Springs, Missouri; daughter Shelli (Tony) Geary of Prairie City, Iowa; son Mark Flood of Golden, Colorado; son David (Theresa) Flood of Muskogee, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, Nicole, Amber, Cady, Angelina, Lauren, Morgan, Melissa, Darin Michael Jr., and Devin. Barbara is survived by two siblings, Doris Okerblad, Kenneth Marema, and three brothers-in-law Robert Okerblad, Robert Applequist, and Gary Allen. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters: Ethel Allen, Jean Applequist, Marilyn Evans.
Visitation will be held at the Greenlawn North Funeral Home on Friday, April 12, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. Celebration of life funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 9 a.m. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery, followed by a luncheon at St. Joseph’s Parish.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Barbara’s name to the Willard Senior Center.
