Barbara J. Wire, 87, passed away on January 27, 2024 at Township Assisted Living Memory Care in Battlefield, MO. Barbara was born on November 27, 1936 in Wapato, Washington to Ernest and Georgie (Piland) Osburn. She was raised on the family’s farm in Ava, MO. Barbara graduated from Ava High School. She met Keith Wire in 1961 in Rockford, IL. She married the love of her life, on February 17, 1962 in Rockford, IL.
Barbara was a beautician, and homemaker. She was the Queen of Red Hats and an award winning home decorator. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Leon Osburn. She is survived by her husband, Keith, 2 sons Steven Scott of Tulsa, OK and Gregory Lee Wire of Springfield, MO, 1 brother Dean Osburn Springfield, MO and 2 grandchildren Lauren Grace Wire and Stewart Christian Wire.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday prior to service.
