With heavy hearts and joyful memories, we announce the passing of Barbara Jo May, who left us on March 22, 2025, at the age of 88. Born June 29, 1936, in Aldrich, MO, to Russell and Opal D. (Ragland) Hagar.  Barbara was a beacon of strength and grace, whose spirit touched the lives of those around her.

Barbara was a dedicated forklift driver in the food distribution industry, known not only for her strong work ethic but also for her unwavering support of her family and friends. Her legacy of resilience and kindness will forever be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Robert May.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Melissa Case (Rick) of Owasso, OK; two grandchildren: Anthony Hurst (Jennifer) of Owasso, OK, and Cody Hurst (Sara) of Owasso, ; four great grandchildren: Meier, Norah, Cheyenne, and Brynlee; her dear brother, Robert Hagar of Aldrich, MO; as well as other relatives and friends, all of whom carry her spirit in their hearts.

A graveside service will be held to honor Barbara’s life on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 11:30 AM at the beautiful Greenwood Cemetery, Bolivar, MO.  We invite family and friends to join us in celebrating a well-lived life, filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.  Online condolences may be made at: www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Pitts Chapel Bolivar, MO.
