Mrs. Barbara June Arnall, age 81, of Springfield, MO, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at the Ash Grove Care Center, Ash Grove MO. Barbara was born to Rev. William F. Hervey and Nellie M. Hervey on May 30, 1943 in Springfield MO. She grew up in Springfield, MO alongside 3 sisters and a brother, where she attended a Pentecostal church with her family. She often spoke of fond memories of time spent as a child visiting her cousins in Protem MO. Barbara attended Parkview High School and Central High School and was close friends with several of her classmates until the time of her passing. Barbara married Robert M. Arnall in 1959 and they were blessed with a son, Mark, and 2 daughters, Julie and Debbie. They resided in Springfield, MO until 1975 when they moved to Willard MO. In 1984 they purchased 60 acres in Ash Grove, MO where they moved and raised Red Angus cattle. She was a devoted wife to Robert for 36 years. Robert passed away in 1995 and she never remarried.
Barbara enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and submitting them to contests. She also enjoyed playing Bingo with her friends. Barbara was a collector of friends. She was a social butterfly and when she made new friends they were friends for life. She enjoyed the company of her friends very much, whether it be having coffee together, watching a movie, going out for a meal, cruising on the Branson Belle, or taking turns hosting at each other’s homes. She loved her siblings immensely and always looked forward to joining her sisters, nieces, and daughters at their annual “Hen Parties” where she enjoyed lots of love and laughter. She loved hosting her family for holidays and always served up the best food because she was a great cook. She absolutely loved Christmas with her family and watching her grandchildren open the gifts she had chosen for them. She also looked forward to the annual Arnall family Christmas dinner where she could catch up with her many brothers and sisters-in-law. Barbara attended Hopedale Baptist Church where she was baptized and later attended James River Assembly of God. Over the years, she worked at Royal Typewriter, Willard Public Schools, PFI, and was a licensed Cosmetologist, however, her most cherished accomplishments were her children and grandchildren.
Barbara leaves behind a legacy of selfless love and kindness that will not be forgotten. She had a beautiful smile and a giving heart that will be cherished by all that knew her.
