Barbara Lee (Williams) Fisher, age 93, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on March 7, 2026, after a short illness. She was born on March 25, 1932, in the back of a grocery store in Douglas County, Missouri, to Walter and Jesse (Sallee) Williams.
Barbara lived a life defined by faith, family, and hard work. In 1952, she married the love of her life, Galen E. Fisher. Together they shared 48 years of marriage and built both a family and a business. In 1959, Barbara and Galen established Ozark Ornamental Concrete, where they worked side by side for many years, building the company through dedication and perseverance.
Her faith was an important part of her life, and she loved her church family at National Heights Baptist Church. Barbara also had a deep appreciation for nature, especially birds, and enjoyed spending time outdoors.
In her younger years, Barbara enjoyed camping, water skiing, bowling, and traveling. She also loved gathering with friends and family to play dominoes and pinochle. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family and the many friendships she formed throughout her life.
Barbara is survived by her children and their spouses: Gayle and David Bingham; Gary Fisher; David and Linda Fisher; Dana and Ron Vest; and Kari and Mark Murray. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Galen E. Fisher, as well as her parents and in-laws.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 14, at 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
Her care has been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
