Barbara Pohlenz, age 68 of Bolivar, MO, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023, in her home. She was born July 12, 1954, in Springfield, MO, to Thomas A. and Gladys Virginia (Chiders) Mangan. She is a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and two siblings: Pat and Vicky.
Barbara is survived by her husband Alvin of the home; a son John “JD” Elliott and wife Tori of Niangua, MO; two daughters: Kimberlie Elliott of MO, and Tiffany Colvard and husband Nick of Springfield, MO; numerous grandchildren; a brother Michael Mangan and wife Diane of Springfield, MO; a sister Teresa Garrison and husband Greg of Springfield, MO; as well as many other relatives and friends.

I can’t remember a time when Barbara wasn’t part of my life. We have had times when we didn’t touch base with each other , but she was always a message, text or phone call away. As children we were together constantly. Blondie, Turtle Soup and Curly Top. I am so sorry for the void that is left for her family. 💔. I am so grateful she was my cousin and that she knew Jesus. There are so many family members I am sure who are delighted to see her. Her mom, my mom, our grandparents, our aunts and uncles, siblings ❤️🙏❤️ many more. See you soon my precious cousin ❤️
