Bedford “Eddie” Edward Yarbrough Jr., age 64, of Nixa, Missouri passed away peacefully in his home on April 16, 2020.
Eddie was born on October 9, 1955 in Memphis, Tennessee to parents Sarah and Bedford Yarbrough Sr. He graduated from Harrisburg High School in Arkansas and went on to attend and earn a degree at UALR of Arkansas and Delta Business.
Eddie united in marriage to Wanda Wilkinson and was by her side for 45 years. He was Wanda’s hero and the wind beneath her wings. From this marriage came two daughters: Michelle and Carolyn. Eddie was a member of Nixa First Assembly of God in Nixa, Missouri. In 2010 Eddie retired but continued to help work with sound ministry and travelled with Gospel Artists. He respected and loved guns, wrestling, and enjoyed spending time with his wife, two daughters, and grandchildren.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents Sarah and Bedford Yarbrough Sr. and his two infant siblings. Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Wanda Yarbrough, two daughters Michelle and Carolyn, two sons-in-law; Gary Crites and Matt Pinegar, his grandchildren; Brianne and Allison Crites, Maeleigh and Liam Pinegar and Kaybreona Brown, brother Dr. W.H. Yarbrough (Carole), brother-in-law R.D. Wilkinson (Patsy), sisters-in-law Donna Hinchey and Pat Stinson, nephews; Pastor Hugh Yarbrough (Katie) and Pastor Darrell Yarbrough (Kristen), numerous cousins, great nieces, great nephews, and close friends; The Braschlers and The Sons of the Pioneers, Betty Gentry, Tamya Newberry, Kevin Weeks, Sharon Phebus, Sandra Ballard, Jerry Chilson, Trevor, Sawyer and Claire Thomas, DeWayne Howard, and a host of other close church family and friends. A special thanks goes out to everyone at Nixa First Assembly of God in Nixa, Missouri and Christian Assembly of God in Sherwood, Arkansas.
Pastor Chris Foster will officiate a graveside service for Eddie in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens on April 20, 2020 at 2:00 pm. A celebration of Eddie’s life will be held at Nixa First Assembly of God on Friday, June 12, 2020 at 7:00 pm. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
