Ben Frank Birdsong, age 54 of Springfield, born to the late Frank and Doris Birdsong, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 20, 2010.
Survivors include his loving wife, Kathleen; daughter Faith Finn both of Springfield; son Benjamin Birdsong of Detroit, MI; one grandson Mason Blake Birdsong of Springfield; three sisters, Dixie Thompson, Glynda Atkins, and Christi Alexander as well as numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Celebration of Life services will be held on Monday, July 26, 2010 at 12 noon, at Second Baptist Church, 3111 E. Battlefield. A visitation will be held Sunday, July 25, 2010 from 6-8 pm at Greenlawn South Funeral Home, 441 W. Battlefield.
The family has requested donations be made to 88.3 The Wind FM, or Hope Community Church both in Springfield. Opportunities for making donations will be available at both services.
