Benita C. (Pool) Horn, age 52, of Springfield, Missouri passed away peacefully on October 9, 2020 at 9:10 a.m. Benita was born on May 13, 1967 in Mexico, Missouri to John and Edith Pool. She would go on to graduate from Conway High School in 1985 and attend Southwest Missouri State University. Benita would find employment with Border States and would work for them for thirty years, primarily in electrical sales.
Outside of work she loved to be creative and make crafts, watch anything Sci-fi related on the television, and was a proud member of the FFA (Future Farmers of America). She was also an avid golfer and loved gardening and landscaping.
Benita is proceeded in death by her father John. She is survived by her mother Edith; son Robert A. Horn Jr.; stepchildren Britany and Courtney Horn; sisters Andrea Longley and husband Rob, Jackie Pool-Mace and husband Dennis; nephew Alex Longley and many, many friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 16, 2020 at Greenlawn North Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home North at 10:00 a.m.. Saturday, October 17, 2020. Interment will follow at Robberson Prairie Cemetery after the service.
