Bert Lester Newtson, age 70, died on Thursday, November 24,2011 at Woodland Manor Nursing Home.
Bert was born on October 3, 1941 in Sandwich, Illinois, the son of Lester E. and Molly Olson Washburn Newtson. He loved to work with all types of wood building hutches and wall clocks. Bert could do anything with wood. He loved hunting, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family. Bert had a 1966 Mustang completely restored. Bert was an avid gun and coin collector. He enjoyed the old time country and western music. Bert loved his animials.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Karen Newtson; a son, Bret Lee Newtson; two daughters, Brenda Lynn Geddis, Beth Ann Wiley; a step-son, John Christopher Cross; five grandchildren; a step-sister, Connie; and a brother Terry.
