Bette L. (Goad) Knight, 78, was born in the southeast mountains of Kentucky on April 24, 1933 and passed away in Springfield, MO. on March 24, 2012.
Bette, with her husband Bill Knight, owned and operated Knight Coins & Stamps for 30 years. When she was not working at the store she loved bowling, going to the lake house with her daughter, taking care of her yard and flowers and taking care of her loving Dalmatians.
Bette was preceded in death by her husband Bill Knight, her parents Mae and Arden Goad, brother Samual “Bud” Goad and sister Bonnie “Dood” Goad. For the past three years she lived with her daughter and son-in-law, Netta and Barry who were blessed to have had her in their home. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Netta and Barry Buffington and Molly Mae (Granny’s 6lb baby papillon pooch).
Thanks to Ginger Davis for her friendship and wonderful care she gave mom for the past year, and thanks to Celinda Welch for the wonderful care of our home and mom’s home and the friendship to mom. Thanks to Cathy Elmore (our beauty operator since 1996) for her friendship, love and support she has given over these many years.
My husband and I would also like to thank and appreciate, the Battlefield Paramedics & St. Johns Ambulance Paramedics for the hard work they did in trying to save mom.
