Betty Bell Bolen, age 89 of Fair Play, MO, passed away Friday, October 21, 2022, at Citizens Memorial Hospital Bolivar, MO. She was born May 26, 1933, in Texarkana, AR, to William Abraham and Sceller Mae (Browning) Tankersley.
Betty went to California with her family during the great depression. She graduated from Exeter Union High School Exeter, CA, in 1952.
She was united in marriage to Berry Kent Bolen September 19, 1952, at the Assembly of God Church in Exeter, CA, and to this union four children were born. The family moved to a farm in Fair Play, MO, in June 1970.
Betty was a member of the Harvest Assembly of God Church Fair Play, MO. She liked sports, flowers, gardening, but most of all she loved her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a son Wade Jerone Bolen; and 11 siblings.
Betty is survived by her husband of 70 years Berry; three children: Rodney Bolen (Susie), Kathie Thompson, Travis Bolen (Kathy); a daughter in-law Tammy Bolen; nine grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and nine great great grandchildren; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
