Betty Dean (Gentry) Sciarrino, 83 of Brookline passed away on Sunday October 31, 2010. She was born November 28, 1926, with her daughters and friends by her side.
She attended First Christian Church and was baptized on March, 28, 1945.
She graduated in the class of 1945 in Bethany, Mo.
She married Nunizo Tom Sciarrino on February 14, 1977. They owned Gino’s restaurant in Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Sciarrino; parents, John and Lillian Gentry; grandparents the Clarks and the Gentrys.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and the Elks Lodge.
Betty loved her home in Florida and enjoyed traveling each year to her winter get-a-way, as well as spending time with her lake friends at the Rice Camp in the Summer.
Her hobbies and Interests included; dancing, music, fishing, cards, traveling and shopping and entertaining guests. Bettys most favorite saying was “What goes around comes around.”
She is survived by her daughters; Deena Gale and Sheela Letterman; brother, Dale Gentry and wife Clara Bell of Bethany, Mo. grandchildren, Anthony Salinas and wife Nicole of Denver, Colo., and Tyson Scott of Springfield, Mo.; nieces and nephews, Glen Dale and Cindy Gentry, Christie & Rick Plymell; nephews and nieces, Vickie and Alan Guernsey; brother-in-law, Tony Sciarrino of Sarasota, Fla.
And other relations and close friends to numerous to mention.
Peggy Turner helped and cared for & loved Betty for the past several years, she loved her like she was her own daughter.
A Memorial service will be held in Greenlawn Funeral Home East on November 4, 2010 at 2 P.M.
