Betty Perkins, born on March 21, 1931, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones.
She married the love of her life, Jewel Perkins, and together they built a beautiful life rooted in love and devotion. They were blessed with two children, Robert (Bob) Perkins and Cindy Bolin (Perkins).
Betty gave much of herself to caring for others, both at home and in her career as a nurse. She spent many years working in nursing homes, where her kindness and compassion touched countless lives. Her gentle hands and genuine heart made her a comfort to everyone she met.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jewel Perkins, as well as many brothers and sisters.
Betty leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory always: her daughter Cindy Bolin and husband John; their children Michael Donovan (wife Teresa) and Christina Ridenour (husband Kevin); great-grandchildren Miranda Williams and Logan Ridenour; and great-great-grandchild Amelia Williams. She is also survived by her son Robert (Bob) Perkins; his daughters Caryn Salamy and Angala Perkins; and great-grandchildren Ella Salamy and Levi Perkins.
Betty’s legacy is one of quiet strength, love of family, and simple joys. She loved deeply, worked hard, and always found time to care for others. Her family will forever remember her as the heart of their home—the steady hand who kept them close and the source of so many treasured memories. Her warmth will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew her.
Though she may no longer be with us, the love she gave continues to live on in each generation lucky enough to call her family.
Visitation to celebrate Betty’s life will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home North on May 27 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a graveside service at Brighton Cemetery May 28 at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are invited to attend and share their memories.
