Betty F. Thomas, 84, of Ozark, Missouri passed peacefully to her heavenly home on November 15, 2015 following a short illness. She was born on September 14, 1931 in West Plains, Missouri to James W. and Sophia Hall.
Betty was a resident of Springfield for many years and was employed at Kraft Foods. After falling in love with Las Vegas, she and her family moved there. She enjoyed the bright sunshine and warmth. For those who knew Betty, there was little that she enjoyed more than her poker machines, dancing and fishing.
Betty is survived by her two daughters, Dianna (Al) Atkisson, of Goodyear, Arizona, and Dianna’s two children, Philip (Michelle) Weir, and Shana Weir, both of Las Vegas, Nevada; and her daughter, Alice (James) Denney, and their two children, Kaitlin and Lance Denney, of Ozark, Missouri. She is also survived by her brothers, Robert (Carol) Hall, of Rogersville, Missouri and Dick (Donna) Hall, of Springfield, Missouri. And by her sisters, Ann (Kenneth) Osredker, of Springfield, Missouri, Sue (Bill) Anderson, of Waynesville, Missouri, Barbara Applegate, of Springfield, Missouri, Judy Morrison, of Bolivar, Missouri, and Janie (Gordan) Tom, of Bolivar, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by a son, Hank Thomas, her parents, and brothers, Joe, Virgil, Herbert, Jim, and Roy and two sisters, Beulah Moss, and Dixie Lee Hall.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 17th, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East from 6:00-8:00 PM. Services will be Wednesday, November 18th at 3:00 PM, also at Greenlawn East.
