Betty Jo Forbes, 80, of Fordland Missouri passed away September 17, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She was born March 9, 1943, in Fordland, Missouri to Lester and Marie Burks. Betty attended and graduated from Fordland High School. She would later work for Logan-Rogersville School Systems as a secretary for Special Services. Betty Jo Forbes, 80, of Fordland Missouri passed away September 17, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She was born March 9, 1943, in Fordland, Missouri to Lester and Marie Burks. Betty attended and graduated from Fordland High School. She would later work for Logan-Rogersville School Systems as a secretary for Special Services. She retired from her position in 2000. Betty was a member of Harmony Baptist Church.
Betty was married to Dale Forbes on November 1, 1963, at the First Baptist Church in Fordland, Missouri. Together they had two children, Brent, and Joetta. Their family would expand with the addition of 5 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Lester, and Marie Burks.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Forbes; children, Brent and wife, Liz Forbes, and Joetta and husband, Jim Keltner; grandchildren, Justin and wife, Kristina Keltner, Jacob and wife, Alissa Keltner, Cole Forbes, Lauren Forbes, and Carly Forbes; and great-grandchildren, Beau Keltner, Cora Keltner, and Rylee Keltner.
