Betty Jean Campbell, 83, of Springfield passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Cox Medical Center South. She was born Saturday, April 20, 1929, in Fillmore, California, the only child of Orville A. and Amanda E. (Mosbarger) Brown.
Betty married the love of her life, Bernie Campbell, on Tuesday, June 3, 1947, in Fort Scott, Kansas, and together they made their home and raised their family in Polk County, Missouri. She was a devoted wife and mother and loved gardening. Betty was a member of Willard Community Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Betty is survived by her husband, Bernie; a son, Marshall Campbell and his wife Carol of Walnut Grove, Missouri; daughters, Barbara White and her husband Gary of Chelsea, Oklahoma, Linda Cranford and her husband Roger of Springfield; grandchildren, Brittany McConnell, Scott Campbell and his wife Shannon, Travis Campbell and his wife Stacy, Kimberly Schultz and her husband Branden, Brock Campbell and his wife April; great-grandchildren, Samuel and Campbell Schultz, Lee, Gus, Careena, Garrett, Honor, and Brogan Campbell.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at Greenlawn Funeral Home South, 441 W. Battlefield, Springfield, Missouri, with Pastor Dakota E. Rush officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends, prior to the service, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., in the funeral home.
