Betty Jean Dodd passed away Sunday, January 8, 2012 at the age of 83. She was born June 15, 1928 in Nashville, TN the daughter of Earl and Jennie Jordan.
On March 16, 1948 in Springfield, MO she was united in marriage to (Jack) Earl F. Dodd, who survives. She is survived by two sons, Jerry Dodd, and his wife Marilyn of Lampe, MO and Terry Dodd, and his wife Christine of Nixa, MO; one sister, Judy McCowan, and her husband Max of Springfield, MO; two grandsons, Jack Dodd and Brad Dodd, and one great-grandchild, Leighton Maria Dodd. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and one brother.
Betty received her education in Springfield. For those who knew Betty, they will remember her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a member of Southgate Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 11, 2012 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
