Betty enjoyed reading. Ask a question, Mom had read a magazine article about it. She also enjoyed growing plants and flowers, sewing clothing for her two daughters, cleaning house and running around town doing errands. She was always doing something, always on the go. She would laugh so hard she would cry. Her first job was working at the candy counter of Sears. She retired from Walmart, her longest position, where she became the first door greeter of the first Springfield Walmart. After retirement, Betty worked as a volunteer at the Cox North Gift Shop for several years.
Mom, you were always taking care of everyone else. Now it is time for God to take care of you. We love you and will miss you.
