Betty Joann Rowden, age 74, of Strafford, Mo, passed away February 20, 2016 at home with her family by her side. She was born February 6, 1942 in Greene County, Mo, to Ollie and Roxie (Davis) Pilkinton.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Rex Richard Rowden, and siblings Junior Pilkinton, Ruby Rowden, Peggy Lafollette, and Mary Irvine. She is survived by her daughters Lisa Hamilton and husband Denny, and Sandy L. Young, and husband Jamie, and her son Tim Dewayne Rowden, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and her siblings; James Pilkinton, Wayne Pilkinton, Lucille Jones, Janice Pilkinton, Evelyn Deckard, Clara Jenkins and Roberta Coble.
Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, February 26, 2016 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North with Pastor John English officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm, Thursday February 25, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Panther Valley Cemetery.
