Betty Mae Montgomery, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, age 81, passed away Dec. 9, 2010, in Springfield, Mo. She was born Sept. 25, 1929, in Jefferson City Mo. She graduated from Central High School. She was united in marriage to Robert Lee Wilgus on July 20, 1947, and to this union were born Susan, Roland, Shirley, and Stanley. Robert Wilgus passed away February 13, 1962. She was later married to Robert Montgomery on May 21, 1965, and he had two sons, Jimmy and Allen. She was self employed with Yearbook Publishers. She was a member of the East Grand Church of Christ and baptized at an early age.
She was preceded in death by Robert L. Wilgus; Stanley Wilgus, Roland Wilgus, Susan Reaves; and Jimmy Montgomery. She is survived by daughter, Shirley and (Tom) Elingsworth, Bob Montgomery; step-brother, Allen and (Cindy) Montgomery; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary McWilliams.
Services will be Monday December 13th, at 11 a.m., in Greenlawn Funeral Home East with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m., in the funeral home.
