Beverly Ann (Smith) Holder, age 84, passed away on November 21, 2025 in Springfield, MO. surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on October 29^th, 1941 in Stuart, Iowa, the daughter of Emma E. (Caviness) and Charley L. Smith.  She was united in marriage to Martin L. Holder, Sr. on May 6, 1960 in Rockford, IL.

   Beverly proudly traveled with Martin as he served his county for 20 years, in both the US Navy & later the US Army.  While overseas, Beverly often volunteered at local orphanages and enjoyed time with her children while stationed at various Posts.  After Martin finished his distinguished military career, they retired together to their farm in Halfway.  She enjoyed raising cattle on their farm, helped her sister with her dog grooming business in the 90’s, would later co-own & operate Show-Me State Elevator Inspections and was a member of a bowling league in Bolivar for many years.  She loved spending time with her family & especially enjoyed the time spent with her sister & best friend, Carol Robbins and her husband Wilford.

   Beverly loved her family and was truly loved by all.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother & great-great grandmother.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Martin L. Holder, her parents, Charley L. & Emma E. (Caviness) Smith, an infant son, Daniel Dean & brothers; Robert, Charles, Leland, Richard, Kenneth, Jim and sister, Lucille.

    She is survived by her children; Teri Lynn (Bill) Campbell of Halfway, son; Martin Lonnie (special friend Hazel Burris) Holder, Jr. of Buffalo and daughter; Suann Kay (Dale) Taylor of Union, MO.; ten Grandkids; Adam Wane (Rachel) Christensen, Carie Lynn (Tyler) Drenon, Hayley Dawn (Nick) Schroeder, Colin Stuart (Marissa) Campbell, Jessica Leah (Brandon) Johnson, Jennifer Ann Holder, Martin Lonnie Holder III, Janice Renee (Donnie) Shewmaker, Jacob Michael (Whitney) Holder and Cody Neal (fiancé Allana) Taylor; twenty-five Great-Grandkids; Maris Avery Christensen, Brayden Wayne (fiancé Jenna) Morrison, Tyler Austin Morrison, Rayce James Johnson, Hayden Lee (Lauren) McCarthy, Trenton Dean McCarthy, Trey Daniel McCarthy, Maddox James McCarthy, Addison Nicole Holder, Juliann Elizabeth Holder, Mylee Grace Holder, Payton Reese Holder, Willow Emma Rayn Holder, Ryan McCoy Shewmaker, Brody Stone Shewmaker, Ivy Lynn Shewmaker, Landyn Blaze Holder, Lawson Lane Holder, Joey Eilene Drenon, Thomas William Schroeder,  William Shane Campbell, Duncan Stewart Campbell, Colin Stanley Campbell, Roy James Campbell & Archie Lee Campbell; three Great-Great Grandkids; Beau Dean Morrison, Emerson Oakley Holder & Huxton Dale Shewmaker; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. 

   Visitation for Beverly Ann Holder will be at Pitts Chapel in Bolivar, MO on Friday, November 28, 2025 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, with the funeral service following at 12:00 PM. Burial will be at Crestview Memorial Gardens Bolivar, MO following the service.

Donations may be made to the Polk County Humane Society in Beverly’s name.
