Beverly Sue (Mead) Graham, age 83, of Springfield, MO, passed away July 10, 2026 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. Beverly was born August 31, 1942 in Polk County Missouri, son on Oba and Faye Mead.
Beverly graduated from Bolivar high school in 1960. After high school she moved to Kansas City, MO to work for Bell Telephone. She then transferred to Springfield, MO as a long distance telephone operator. She had several jobs and retired from American National Property and Casualty Insurance after 20 years of employment. Following her retirement, she sold Avon for many years and loved visiting with her many loyal customers.
After a short courtship she married the love of her life, William “Pete” Graham, on February 2nd, 1964. The two celebrated 54 years together. From this union came two beautiful daughters, Lorinda Graham Rehagen and Christy Graham, four grandchildren, Ryan Rehagen, Sam Rehagen, Zach Rehagen and Sarah McKinney, and 3 great-grandchildren, Elijah McKinney, Hazel McKinny and Beau Rehagen. Beverly was a lifetime active member of St John’s Chapel United Church of Christ where she sang in the choir for many years and was involved in Friendship Circle and many other committees and services. She enjoyed shopping and trips to the casino with Pete and loved watching her grandkids sporting events and activities.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, her brother Max, sister Shirley and her husband Pete in 2018. She is survived by daughter Lorinda Rehagen and her husband Richard and their 3 children Ryan, Sam and his wife Tori (and Beau), and Zach. Also, daughter Christy Graham and her daughter Sarah McKinney and her husband Joseph (and Elijah and Hazel). Also, brother-in-law Joe Carpenter and niece Donna LeAn and husband Darrell and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Friday, July 17, 2026, There will be a visitation at 1:30 and the graveside service at 2:00. The family wants to give special thanks to The Gardens Memory Care where Beverly lived the last 4 years. And also to St. Croix Hospice who had helped the last 3 years. Both had the most amazing staffs who not only cared for Mom very well but also grew to love her.
