Beverly J. Anderson, wife of Reverend Stanley V. Anderson and faithful servant of our Lord Jesus, passed away on June 11, 2011 in her home located in Maranatha Village of Springfield, Missouri.
After a lifetime of service and love to her husband Stanley who passed away in June of 1994, Beverly for 14 years did all that she could to encourage, teach, comfort, and minister to other residents of Maranatha and the First and Calvary Presbyterian Church of Springfield. She enjoyed providing messages of inspiration to various gatherings at Maranatha as well as visiting regularly the Alzheimer’s patients. As a very talented musician-playing piano, organ, violin, and flute-she served continually in the various worship services offered at Maranatha.
Beverly is survived by her two sons and daughter, Dwight, Chris, and Stephanie. Dwight is a professional cellist and orchestra instructor in the Dallas area. Chris, with his family, works full time in missions, as Symphonies of Hope.org-starting small Christian youth orchestras in Central and South America. Stephanie is currently continuing her studies of physical education in Tempe, Arizona. Beverly has seven grandchildren, Phillip, Joseph, Noah, Elizabeth, Sarah, Jonathan, and Samuel; and one great-grandchild, Hanna Grace.
Beverly would like to express her deepest thanks and gratitude to all those who helped her so much in her last months. Dear Lord… Many thanks and praise to you for the uncountable blessings received through your gift to us–our mom Beverly Anderson., and for bringing her to you in a way that was especially peaceful and beautiful… Amen.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 14, 2011, from 9 to 10 a.m. in Maranatha Village Chapel. Services will follow at 10 a.m. Burial will be at a later date in Scottsdale, Arizona.
